Romantic table for two

Valentine's Day is almost here and I love dragging out the little things to make our dinner for two perfect. The plates are Mikasa's French Countryside, red globe wine glasses and red bowls are also Mikasa. So where to have a romantic dinner? At our dining table , a rectangle that seats 10?  Too big...Or in the kitchen at the counter?  Too small...the living room with a small card table ...hmm maybe.....

 

 

The table sidled up to two overstuffed chairs and the fireplace. On the chair is a "Happy Valentine's Day" pillow. Soft lighting and relaxing  music from pianist Jim Brickman for the ears to enjoy, but not intrude upon our conversation. On the table ; a little gift: a jar with 50 more reasons, written on little hearts, "why I love you". Glass crystals scattered on table and on the 

Menu: 

Roasted asparagus in a BalsamicVinaigrette 

Shrimp alfredo,

 and for dessert; chocolate dipped strawberries. A special dinner planned for my Valentine of 28 years.
